Math workshop- September 22-26 counting collections

Safe, achieving, caring! The 2nd & 3rd graders worked together to create our classroom rules. We first brainstormed ideas and then as a whole decided on the most important rules. We created a poster that we all signed and hung in the shared classroom.

First day jitters! After reading the book First Day Jitters by Julie Danneburg we enjoyed some "jitter juice" and talked about our first day of second grade!

New 2nd graders come for a visit.

The 1st graders came for a visit today to get advice from the 2nd graders about next year. After they buddied for tours around the room and partner reading. So proud of our soon to be third graders!

Shelburne farms- organisms culminating event!

Team Imagination's 2nd and 3rd graders enjoyed celebrating our learning about organisms by taking part in a day long pond study at Shelburne Farms. The students had the opportunity to explore the pond ecosystem, while experiencing the sights and sounds of spring!
